Experience
Sami graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1973. Upon his graduation, Sami joined Arthur Andersen Worldwide Organization and after two years of service in the Middle East, he completed a three-year assignment in the Los Angeles office. In 1978, Sami returned to the Middle East and, after a period with a local firm of accountants and a large company in Saudi Arabia, he established the Arthur Andersen & Co.’s Jeddah Office in 1982.
On July 1, 2002 Arthur Andersen & Co. was integrated with Ernst & Young Co. and Sami was assigned to be the Office Managing Partner of Jeddah Office.
In 2003, he became a Member of Ernst & Young International Ltd., and was elected a Board Member of Ernst & Young Management Team in the Middle East.
In May 2010, Sami joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Country Senior Partner.
After his retirement from PricewaterhouseCoopers on June 30, 2012, Sami and his partners established a new firm under the name of Sami Farah & Partner.
Sami’s experience includes clients in banking, insurance, manufacturing, trading, real estate, hospitality, construction, electronics, agriculture, mining, oil & gas, energy (lubricants) & utilities, technology, communications & media entertainment, educational institutions, advertising services, retail & consumer products, and shipping industries.
Sami has been involved in many consulting assignments including the review of organisational structures, preparation of organizational charts, policy and procedure manuals and job descriptions as well as developing business plans and valuations. He has also conducted many external seminars on complex financial instruments and advanced financial analyses.
